The author, within the introduction, calls this book "a complete and thorough guide to drawing the planet of shoujo manga." i believe that is somewhat too optimistic, particularly considering that it's solely 143 pages. There are many useful hints and tips during this book, however i believe this book would be best if scan in conjunction with different manga how-to books and many of actual manga. The book's varied sections are: the fundamentals (things like heads, profiles, hairstyles, bodies, etc.), poses, bishies, the magical woman vogue, different well-liked shoujo designs, cool garments, and style details.
These sections sound nice, however everthing is roofed terribly briefly - the step-by-step directions are terribly short and would in all probability be, at best, solely marginally useful for beginners. the simplest half concerning this book is that the design, although, in concert reviewer wrote, even that has its problems. a lot of of the design, though nicely coloured, doesn't very look that smart - it's nice, however, that the design varies in vogue, in order that it does not seem that every one manga art appearance a similar.
